Dmitry Petrovich ZEGZHDA
Corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Director of the Institute of Institute of Computer Science and Cybersecurity of Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University.
Graduated in 1992 from St. Petersburg State Technical University (now SPbPU), Faculty of Technical Cybernetics with a degree in Computer-aided design Systems. The experience of scientific and pedagogical work is 26 years: he worked as an assistant (1992), then associate professor (2000) and professor of SPbPU (2003-present). In 1997 he got the degree of candidate, in 2003 Doctor of Technical Sciences.
D. P. Zegzhda is the author of more than 350 scientific and methodological works on the main field of activity published in leading publications (1251 citations, the Hirsch index 13), 19 patents for inventions and 24 engineering developments, winner of the Prize of the Government of the Russian Federation in the field of science and technology for 2018.
D.P. Zegzhda is the author of a practical-analytical (phenomenological) approach to assessing the stability and safety of management of automated systems by analyzing the shortcomings (vulnerabilities) of controls exposed to targeted destabilizing effects, and a methodology for building sustainable management systems by eliminating the causes of such shortcomings, which makes it possible to move to a proactive management security strategy and, already at the design stage of the system, consistently eliminate opportunities for purposeful destructive interference in its operation.
12 candidates of sciences and two doctors of sciences have been trained under the leadership of D.P. Zegzhda, he is a member of the dissertation council, editor-in-chief of the peer-reviewed journal “Problems of Information Security. Computer systems”.
With the active participation and under the scientific guidance of D.P. Zegreda, more than 64 research and 15 experimental design works have been carried out in the field of stability analysis of control systems, the creation of a scientific and methodological basis for ensuring control safety in automated systems.
D.P. Zegzhda has extensive scientific and educational ties with a number of foreign universities in the UK, Luxembourg, Korea, the USA and Japan.
D.P. Zegzhda is a laureate of the All-Russian competition of Young Specialists and educational Centers “Infoforum-a new generation” in the nomination “teacher of the Year”, was awarded the gratitude of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, laureate of the St. Petersburg Government Award for Outstanding Achievements in higher education, laureate of the Government of the Russian Federation in the field of science and technology for the development of and the introduction of a set of tools and technologies to ensure cybersecurity of automated banking systems of a new generation.
In 2016, he was elected professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
In 2021, he was awarded the II degree Medal of the Order «For Merit to the Fatherland».
In 2022, he was elected Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences from the Department of Nanotechnology and Information Technology.
